Don’t subscribe to Coursera.org, because they will charge for courses for which you don’t have an active subscription. And when it happens, there is no support or service centre to ask for a refund. Coursera is a fraud.
I paid for the subscription to access labs and do the homework. I cancelled the subscription after completing the course, but the lab access was gone as well. Basically, the only way to download the lab notebooks is to pay another $49 for a course you already completed. The customer service chat was not helpful at all and was basically a robot.
I’ve never seen myself as an academic person. I am very tech-savvy and always wanted to try something different with my life. I am a mom of two kids and had been thinking about pursuing a nursing degree, but realized that it would be impossible for me to go back to school full-time. The Udacity Nano Degree programs were perfect for me! They offered a more flexible time frame – can work off-hours, on weekends – which was perfect since I have young children at home. With the Udacity program, even if you fail or don’t complete one of your courses, they will still help you find someone else who has completed the course in order to get credit from them as well as give feedback as needed.
I was so impressed with Udacity.com. The courses are very high quality and mentor-led by the best minds in the industry. I know for a fact this is going to give me a huge career advantage that my competitors will not have.

The course was excellent. Coursera, on the other hand, was a nightmare. Getting customer service is almost impossible — they have no way to speak to a human. They delayed my grade so they could charge me for another month. When I complained they said that they would give me the lowest possible grade if I didn’t want to wait to be graded. They then did that without contacting me. I did 5 peer reviews. Only 1 person (probably admin and not a student) gave “content is satisfactory” feedback without ever reviewing my content. I know that because my assignment was on a file share that alerts me when it’s accessed. NOBODY ACCESSED IT. So the grade was a scam. I spend several days on this assignment only to find out that NOBODY reviews your work, and somebody puts in a fake low grade to shut you up if you complain. I was interested in taking other courses, but because of the scam involved in grading, never doing this again.
I signed up for:” Course Certificate for Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skill” with the deadline on May 4th, but I can not access the course anymore. What is going on? I would love to continue with with the course, if not, please return my money back!!!!
I’ve taken a PHP programming course at Coursera. I wasn’t able to finish the course because I was disconnected from the Rhyme virtual desktop environment they provide right in the middle of the course. Now I am being redirected to the quiz while I wasn’t even able to finish the course.
There is no way of contacting them so I just gave up on requesting a refund from them. In my account, they marked my course “non-refundable”. But then on their website, they claim that they refund within two weeks. I purchased my course one week ago. They don’t mention a single word why they mark some courses non-refundable.
I wish I could give zero stars to this just only cause of the awful customer service. I had a subscription for a very reasonable price which I couldn’t keep to use cause I failed to have the funds ready at the right time; even tho I contacted them 4 times about the matter and they assured me that the system would charge me before the date my account would expire it didn’t happen; they suggested to resubscribe at almost double the price. Contacted customer service for email and been dealing with 4 different people that couldn’t be bothered to read any of my emails where explained 4 times what was the matter. The courses may be good but man they have no clue of what customer service is!
The course I signed up for is actually really good, but I want to do it in my own time, and Coursera set arbitrary deadlines that you can’t extend, which is really annoying. I want to contact them about this but there is absolutely no way to contact a real person at the company. If I could just speak to someone and sort out the deadlines situation it’d be great, but its terrible customer service means I won’t use it again.

Coursera company is an utter scam! We are a business client and we originally had plans for 1000 licenses. Due to Covid, our plans changed and we have sent numerous emails to get these licences frozen. But Coursera keeps loading us and will not speak to us about the problem. We are in the process of taking this legal as we believe we have been Mis-sold and lied to. Stay away from this company at all costs. We will be leaving reviews in all places possibly to ensure that people are aware of how crooked these guys are!

Coursera is a place where you can get anything from coding, philosophy, to journalism. The courses are for all levels of interest and Coursera does not just give the same thing that any other platform might offer. You have a wide range of choices in language skills, humanities, social sciences and STEM subjects. I was never interested in foreign languages but the French course got me hooked! Plus they have courses from top universities from around the world – so picking up a general education sounds pretty desirable too! It’s worth trying out because it has so many different features and skillsets to choose from.
I’m glad I enrolled in Coursera. If you are having a hard time understanding something, they have forums for discussing it with other students. They also develop career content on career planning and how to find jobs, which supplements the ordinary lectures. But if you want to take tests or get grades like what is required of higher-level undergraduate courses, this platform will not be right for you because the service only provides some podcasts without assessments of any kind.
Coursera is a great way to get educated for free. It doesn’t require you to sacrifice your own time or attention span by sitting in class, but it still allows people of all ages the opportunity to learn from some of the best schools in the world. I can finish my whole semester’s reading list over lunch break while cooking food! And don’t worry, if you need someone else telling you what lectures are important and which ones aren’t–Coursera has done that hard work for you with their learning experience system where they curate high-quality videos based on importance so I know exactly which episodes are worth watching.

I was amazed by how it finds the right time to go live with new sessions or content streamed from high ranking universities without disrupting the user’s natural flow of navigating through this highly accessible interface. In other words, its course schedules are so varied. There’s always something for everyone to learn on this platform at any moment in their lives even though they have been around since 2012 thanks to its fixed pricing policy if you buy yearly access upfront along with a 10% discount for students for two months sign up. Moreover, their customer service is always available 24/7 which unites them as one of the best platforms out there!
When I first heard of Coursera, I was like ‘Woah, this sounds great!’ One lousy thing though, is there’s no test prep. So yeah you can do everything else but don’t expect to ace that midterm! Anyway, it has a wide scope and the courses are really high quality. You will even be learning from some renowned professors. Some classes have around 500 students enrolled whereas some others only have about 5-30 people in them which is what makes Coursera so great. The courses range anything from business data analytics to social media marketing which makes it easy for any student or anyone who wants to learn more about one topic or another to find a course tailored specifically for them on the platform.

Udacity is a very niche and focused curriculum. Most of these courses concentrate on areas like artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, programming, development, business, and autonomous systems. In all, there are about 35 different nano degrees offered by this platform. Though the options are limited to you in comparison with other online education sites (just think of Coursera), the company does boast high-end employers like IBM or Google that have developed some of these classes for inclusion here. The time spent on course completion can range from six months to two years depending on course content, but unlike other providers, you won’t get a certificate for finishing what you started unless it has been preapproved.

Note that Udacity is much more studio-based–you’re going to need fancy equipment for this course! It may be free but there is no graduation certificate which means your professors will not be receiving feedback from the class either during the process or afterwards. All the courses I’ve completed on UDACITY are very interesting and -knowing that it is made by Google, IBM, etc- safe to go ahead. Actually, you won’t get any certificate but these courses will give you strong skills in your future career. To be honest, I would say that this is one of the best websites for learning while working because all these lessons are not getting boring or too challenging. And also Udacity offers everything for free!
Udacity is an excellent resource for people who are wanting to learn more about the burgeoning field of technology, or are looking for some certifications- without having to go back to school. The courses are exploratory and give you a comprehensive overview of anything from software design, robotics engineering, nanotechnology, liberal arts responsibility for AI Applications… if it’s technological Udacity has got you covered. I personally completed the Artificial Intelligence program during my free time because I was really interested in getting up to speed on what’s happening with this emerging industry–it gave me some great skills that have helped me land interviews!

It’s similar to MOOCs through Udacity provides certifications for its students instead of just open courses.
Udacity is a really cool new site that offers both certifications and does it yourself type courses for a number of different topics. What I like best is how affordable they are – plenty of the courses only cost ten dollars, which is great if you’re on a tight budget. The format of the classes goes more in-depth than just watching an introductory video as most other sites offer, but this isn’t too overwhelming because there’s always help online with the mentors at Udacity whenever you need some extra advice or coaching! You can also choose from many things to learn about such as web development and data science – so I felt like my options were plentiful and exciting no matter what career path I wanted to pursue!
I took Udacity’s nano degree in data science and it helped prepare me for a job as a Data Analyst. It was such an easy process to get prepared without the overwhelming amount of homework! Highly recommend the course if you’re looking to become more marketable and still maintain your social life – way better than high school!
This is an excellent program for those professionals who want to learn new skills and advance their development. The MOOC platform offers many programs, all of which provide necessary skill training- perfect for the ever-changing world we live in. It seems like this program is driven by three main points: to help students gain knowledge projects and collaborate with other students; to help students develop technologically relevant skills; and instruction from industry leaders in their field. I would recommend Udacity based on these impressive credentials alone, but the curriculum also sounds amazing!
I think Udacity is probably the best option for lifelong learners. You don’t need to be fresh out of college or inflate your resume with an expensive MBA to take these classes. Classes are straight-up courses- no books, homework assignments, discussions; you just learn at your own pace wherever and whenever you choose! The beauty about this program is that it offers short DOCTORATE LEVEL SEMINARS on topics like game design, econometrics modelling etc – the list goes on! To top it off they give Nanodegrees in UX design, programming languages like Python and Ruby etc.
I love how Udacity provides professional Nano degrees that are recognized by employers, found on LinkedIn profiles, and provide me with an edge over other potential employees. I’ve learned so many new things from working with Udacity – it has been a dream come true for someone who is passionate about STEM!
Coursera is a good MOOC platform with a Professional cert, Diploma and micro masters. Some instructors are responsive and some are not. Comparable easy to pass every exam here. But there is less technical hand to hand experience here. Coursera is good for the descriptive based course. Some technical content is old. But the best thing is that you can get a lot of financial aid on this site.
