It will help you to crawl you’re your entire site for free of cost and it will highlight your content on search quires.

What is a Sitemap?
A sitemap is an XML or HTML contained files that basically, contain all the links of your website. The link can be of a post or it can even be an attachment link. After the submission of Sitemap to Google Search Console automatically Google web crawlers will gather all information about your site.
Generate a Sitemap for WordPress website:
An array of online tools is there through which you can generate Sitemap for your website. I use Yoast SEO for the sitemap of my website because it updates my sitemap automatically and submits the new updated posts to Google Search Consoles. You can use this software for the generation of the sitemap.
Tip: Just add sitemap link as “Sitemap” at the front of the page for the quick indexing process.

Submitting Sitemaps to Google Search Console
Step 1:
Adding a site to Google Search Console: In the starting, you will have to log in to your Gmail account. After that move on to Google Search Console and move cursor to “Add a property” do as stated above.
Step 2:
Verification of the Ownership:
Right after the adding your site, all you need to do is to verify your ownership of your domain. You can choose any way to verify the ownership of your blog as there are many of them available.
It is recommended by Google that verifies ownership using domain name provider. This one is the easiest and the quickest way to do it because it will take few minutes to complete the process. The plus point is that you will get a lot of hosting provider there, just choose your hosting provider name.
The process is very simple all you need to do is to select the name of your domain provider and after that log into Google account. Congratulation Google will automatically verify your ownership.
Alternate method: If somehow you are not willing to use the domain name provider as described above then stick to the guide.
You can go with the HTML file upload method. The easiest and reliable method all you need to do is to download a file from the Google Search Console and just upload it to your WordPress root directory.
If you know some coding then use HTML tags. When you get the HTML tag just add the code in your header.php file. You must back up this file before taking a step ahead of editing. Right after this method just click on to the “Verify” option.
Step 3:
Successfully you have verified your property and the next step is to add the Sitemap to Google Search Consoles. Just go on to the dashboard of webmaster tool. Now you should click on the Crawl>Sitemap and then click on to the Add/Test Sitemap button.
Your Sitemap may look yoursitename.com/sitemap_index.xml. All you need to do is click on to “Add/Test Sitemap” to submit your sitemap file. On that page you can see all the submitted details of the Sitemap, even check which one is uploaded by you or someone from your team. Wait and refresh the existing page to get the effect done completely.
