I’m willing to keep this very simple and direct so you may miss my expressive style of writing.

SO LET’S GET STARTED! SEO | Blogging | Digital Marketing | Make Money Online FAQS

[#1] How do I get started?

Before you begin with the actual work, it is important for you to choose a reliable online business model such as blogging, product review sites, e-commerce, info-product launches, etc.

Next you need to choose a profitable niche. But, do keep in mind that you should never choose a niche just because it’s profitable. You need to be passionate about the niche you choose and work on making it profitable.

To make your niche profitable, you should figure out your monetization strategy and then get to work.

My advice:

Work hard and remain dedicated towards your project. It may take a few months that your blog starts earning you money, so don’t give up and patience is a must. If you run out of patience, then you’ll never see success.

Here’s what you need to get started…

  • A trust worthy web-host from  Bluehost
  • A brandable domain from NameCheap
  • A premium theme from Studiopress
  • A CRM to organise and track your leads and customers – HubSpot Free CRM comes with an arsenal of free marketing tools, including live chat, forms and email scheduling.
  • Image & graphics from ShutterStock (don’t take images from Google otherwise you’ll end up in legal trouble)
  • An auto-responder to build your email list and contact your customers – Aweber is just $1
  • The number #1 email capture tool on the internet by Shane Melaugh  – ThriveThemes, so you can grow your list fast.

[#2] How long until I start making money?

Like I mentioned above, NEVER expect your blog to get you earnings the day you launch it. It might take 1 week, 1 month or even a year. It solely depends on what you do, how hard you work and the strategies you would use with a bunch of other factors.

This is a business that requires the perfect mix of research, brainstorming, optimizations, SEO and advertising strategies. This is not a job where you expect a pay check just because you put in ‘X’ amount of hours.

[#3] I want to find niches for e-commerce/selling physical products on Amazon, can you help me?

With all due respect, I have no experience in this field at all. I solely focus on affiliate marketing and majorly deal with digital products. Sorry!

[#4] So is Niche Hacks/Niche marketing all about creating small product review sites and ranking in Google?

Of course not!

A niche is just simply a “Topic” that you choose to specifically work on. So, the more specific that topic, the better chances you have at succeeding in that field.

Now additionally, your website could be both niche & authority. You can take as an example. This website is in the Preppers/Survivalist niche and is the #1 site in that specific niche. Today it generates over $1 million worth of sales per month.

The website is both NICHE and AUTHORITY. Basically it is a niche authority site.

So, small product review websites are just one of the numerous business models that niche marketing works with.

[#5]  I don’t have much money and need free methods to make money online?

I will be really sharp and honest with you. Just like any other business, online business is a real, full blown business that requires investment of time and some money.

“Rags to riches” is never fast and easy. It takes time and you will have to spend some amount of money to expect favourable returns.

But yes, the positive side is that it has got the lowest barriers for entry as compared to any other business. You can literally begin on a minimal budget of as low as $100 according to the field you choose.

Sadly, if you are not willing to invest in your business, then you probably don’t have that element that is required to succeed.

[#6] What theme should I use on my website?

It actually depends on what you are actually looking for from your website. If you are creating a blog then you can try out the likes of Studiopress or DIYTheme. However, if you need squeeze and landing pages then I recommend you to try LeadPages.

[#7] I have a website but how do I make money from it?

I can write you down an entire journal about 101 effective ways to make money from your website. However, being an Affiliate marketer, I would suggest that you can monetize your website from selling ad space to affiliate marketing to sponsored posts and beyond.

You can find numerous free guides on the Internet on How to monetize a Website.

[#8] How do I build my email list?

The most effective way to do so, and which I personally have done myself is to craft a website filled with really great and relevant content that solves their problems and guides them ahead. Simultaneously, make sure to offer an irresistible “lead magnet” that helps solve their #1 problem in exchange for an email address. This quite commonly can be termed as a “Bribe”. Compel people with such promising content that they don’t think twice to sign up.

[#9] I’m doing keyword research but can’t find a profitable keyword to build a site around?

Yes, so this is one aspect in blogging that requires a lot of brainstorming and research. You need to start doing some effective market research and not focus on JUST keyword research. Keyword research is a very small, yet very important part of the overall process.

Search through the Internet and you will find numerous articles and guides on complete niche research and find profitable niches.

[#10] How can I find a profitable/untapped /low competition niche?

You can either search the web for available guides to niche research or even choose from this list of thousands of niches to pick the one that suits your passion the best.

My Advice:

Once you have chosen the right niche for your passion, you should also do some extensive research on the prevailing competition in the niche you wish to work on. If there’s zero competition in the niche, it means that it is not in demand. You need to choose a niche that has the perfect ratio between public demand and competition.

[#11] How do I get traffic to my website/squeeze page/affiliate offers/blog?

Website traffic is all about trends. Knowing WHO your target audiences are and WHERE they usually hang out online. The next step is to get your ads and contents on those places. These places may commonly include social media sites, blogs and forums where your audiences usually hang out.

This can be easily done through simple methods like guest posting, blog commenting, content marketing, networking, social media marketing, forum marketing or even paid ads.

There are a hundreds of different traffic strategies available on the Internet which you can study in detail and decide what to do.

[#12] Can you review my site and give me feedback?

With all due respect, up until recently I always did when asked about it, but I now get way too many queries like this in a week. So to be honest, if I started reviewing all these requests, then I would never get any time for my own sites.

However, you can still get reviews and feedback from over hundreds of experienced niche marketers on the Facebook Mastermind Group

[#13] I’ve found a niche…can you analyse it or tell me if it’s good?

With no offence intended, I would have to say No to that. I do run a site about niches but to be fair with you, I’m not an expert on every niche that exists on the planet. I myself had to do loads of in-depth research to know if my niche is a profitable one or not.

But still, to guide you, I can suggest you 2 options.

  • First, you can go do the research required and you will find dozens of articles on how to do it.
  • Second, you can even post to the Facebook group asking for feedback and reviews regarding the niche you choose. There are over 3,000 active members who are experienced niche marketers and can advise you.

[#14] Nothing I’ve tried works, how can I make money online?

If nothing you have tried works, you’re either not doing it right or aren’t trying hard enough and giving up too easily.

The most important thing is about passion. Don’t jump from one idea to another or switch from project to project. Focus on ONE thing and give it everything till the end.

It is advisable not to experiment if you are a newbie. Rather stick with tried and tested methods and business models like blogging, e-commerce, info-product launches, kindle books, selling exclusively on Amazon, etc.

The global mantra behind finding success in online or offline marketing is about finding people with problems and offering them with promising solutions regardless of what business model you choose.

[#15] How do I get my website ranked on page 1 of Google?

Getting ranked among the top in search results is an important part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Search engines like Google has over 100 different factors that affect ranking, but the most important factor amongst them is high quality backlinks from trusted domains. So you need to create some great content that is worth linking to and then work hard to let the influential people and brands see your content.

DO NOT SPAM YOUR OWN WEBSITE, because it may result in falling viewership and high bounce rates.

I can also suggest that you stop worrying about Google altogether. However, DO NOT ignore the high quality content part. You should also lay focus on getting traffic from other sources. Search the web NOW and you will find hundreds of traffic generation ideas here.

My Advice:

Google is very unpredictable. So there’s no 100% guarantee if they would ever rank you. It might even happen that you rank for a short while but then drop off and lose all your traffic overnight.

[#16] How do I choose a domain/business name?

First and foremost, you need to avoid spammy sounding keywords or “exact match” domains for your website. Try to create something catchy that is easy to remember and defines the purpose of the site. Check out this helpful post for choosing domains.

For example sounds much better than

[#17] Do you offer a coaching or mentorship program?

Yes I do but it is for limited people who are serious for their success. Mail me here [email protected]

[#18] How do I create content that people want to read?

ALWAYS aim at creating content that solves problems of people in your niche experience. If you’re not sure of their problems go to relevant forums, blogs, social media hubs and Q&A sites and see what common questions are asked.

These are the problems that need to be solved.

Alternatively enter your keywords / niche into BuzzSumo and see what content is already popular. Create something bigger and better. This is guaranteed viral content if you promote it effectively.

[#19] I’ve found a niche, what do I do with it?

The best thing I would recommend you to do is research various guides available on the Internet to understand the best business models.

[#20] I’m about to release my first info product. Is there any advice on how to go about getting affiliates to sell the product for me?

It is VERY important that before you release any product, you should have been networking with other product owners and affiliates so that you can easily to get on their radar. This should have been done LONG before you release the product because affiliates show more interest in developers who have been in the market for longer time.

And let me make this very clear. Networking doesn’t mean “Hello, I’ve got a product coming out soon, can you please promote for me?” This is something that I get pitched so often.

You must advisably start off by showing interest in THEIR business. Take the liberty to promote for them. Do cool stuff for them and help them. Then further down mention when the time is right that you’ve got your own launch coming up and tell them how they can benefit from it. It should sound professional and not clumsy.

But even before you try and get affiliates on board, you must make sure that your sales product converts, produces good EPCs (earnings per click), and is a promising product with long term gains, good feedback and a low refund rate. Because, if you do get affiliates on board for promotion and it bombs they will never promote your product again.

[#21] I don’t feel like I’m an authority in my niche, can I still compete?

Please get one thing clear in your head before you start any sort of business. You don’t need to be the world’s most knowledgeable person to compete in a niche. You have to be the world’s most competent person in your niche. Your primary aim should be to know who your target audience is.

If you are even slightly knowledgeable, then you don’t try and market to the experts. You rather go out and market to those who are new to the niche.

[#22] Do you offer done for you websites and content?

No! I don’t currently do this, but you can easily find many people or services on the Internet who do and come well recommended.

[#23] Can I cover lots of different niches on one website?

There is nothing that you can’t do with your website, but the question you just asked is a VERY bad idea.

If you try to cater to “everyone”, it will render you unable to really appeal to anyone. What happens is your content, your product recommendations and your marketing strategies end up being all over the place and the result is that it doesn’t resonate with any one person.

I would strongly recommend you to simply focus on ONE AND ONLY ONE niche. Just one! And cater to one VERY specific type of audience.
