Detailed Coursera Review
Coursera was founded in 2012 by two professors from Stanford Computer Science, Daphne Koller, and Andrew Ng. They had the idea to create Coursera to share their knowledge and skills with the world. Since then, the platform has become a household word in MOOCs.
Coursera does not create its own learning courses. Instead, it works closely with post-secondary institutions, government agencies, and leading universities to provide expert online services.
Coursera currently works with more than 150 partner universities in 29 countries. His academic partners include prominent figures such as Stanford, Duke, Michigan, HEC Paris, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Penn, Princeton, and many others. Recently, Coursera partnered with technology giants such as Google, IBM, MongoDB, and PwC to attract industry experts to develop highly relevant course materials.
What Is Coursera ?
The company offers more than 2,700-degree programs, more than 250 specializations, and more than four accredited degree programs. Coursera courses are usually free. In order to access the assessed work and receive a graduation certificate, you must pay what is worth your money. Many of these courses are Coursera specializations, aseries of related courses, and sometimes a Capstone project. Since its launch, Coursera has taught more than 25 million students in more than 2,000 courses.
Coursera offers both individuals and organizations who want to build their teams. It offers courses in several of the most commonly spoken languages, including Spanish, English, Turkish, Russian, French, Portuguese, Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Therefore, people from all over the world can access Coursera’s high-quality courses without a language barrier.
The Coursera curriculum covers a wide range of topics, as do many small and medium-sized universities.
Free Coursera courses provide video lectures and exercises. Free courses usually do not offer formal college credit. However, to receive a signed “Certificate of Completion”, you must pay a fee. However, certificates are not available for all courses paid at this time.
You can share your certificate with potential employers. Therefore, we recommend that you opt for paid courses. In addition, many courses are completely free even for qualified tasks.
The courses usually take four to six weeks. Each class includes several hours of video per week, graded ratings, tests, and peer-to-peer forums. Some courses end with final exams.
What are the benefits of learning online?
-You can learn any time.
-You are in charge of your own time.
-You’re motivated by yourself.
-Your virtual communication and collaboration skills are better because you have to work with people from all over the world (that is, it gives you a broader perspective). Your critical thinking skills get better because you have to think through everything before taking action or making decisions. -(Optional) You might get new technical skills like Photoshop or Illustrator.
Getting Started with Coursera: Coursera Courses Review
Log on to Coursera.org and browse through the available courses. Select the desired course. If this is a specialization, a window will appear asking you for a free 7-day trial. Otherwise, you will find options to confirm the course or pay once to get the certificate of completion.
You will also see the option “Full course, no certificate” for many courses. These courses give you free access to all course content, including assignments and exclusions.
You should know that Coursera courses have a beginning and an end week. These courses are synchronous, ie they are only available at this time. On the other hand, there are asynchronous courses that students can attend at any time.
Click on the course title for more information. The course page provides a general description of the course, the action program, the FAQ lists, the course creator, the tariffs, the ratings and the comments, and the start date of the course enrollment. The site offers a good reading of the course content for each week.
If you like a course, click the blue “Register” button or “Register” to follow the course.
Coursera Specializations: Coursera Certificate & Coursera app
If you want to distinguish yourself for a particular skill or subject, you can enroll in the Coursera specialization. The company offers more than 250 specializations, including advanced machine learning, business creation, data structure and algorithms, MySQL, graphic design, and more.
A Coursera specialization is a micro-diploma that combines several relevant courses, usually 4 or 5 courses, into groups. Some of these specializations include a Capstone project as a final course. These projects are checked by colleagues. Shorter specializations often only take three courses and take 4 to 6 months. On the other hand, some specializations can take up to 10 courses and last one year.
If you want a specialization certification, you must pay for all the courses included in the specialization. You can attend each course separately, but you can not jump to Capstone projects without having completed all the other courses in specialization.
Coursera works with industry partners who support data specialization, case studies and conferences. Some of these partners also help with the development of course materials and reward students who perform an extraordinary project.
The specializations of Coursera cost on a subscription basis between 39 and 79 USD per month. You will be billed for a 7-day free trial. If you want to continue with the specialization, you can pay, finish the course and receive your certificate. Otherwise, you can cancel your subscription by the specified deadline.
Background
In 2012, two professors of computer science at Stanford, University professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng, decided to offer their courses online for free, and the response was overwhelming. This led to the founding of Coursera, which has partnered with 149 universities around the world to provide access to high-quality courses anywhere, anytime.
Since its launch, this site has served more than 25 million students in more than 2,000 classes. Recently, they have begun offering full-time degrees in some areas, which will allow students to get even further onto the platform.
Process
Coursera courses are organized like the classical university courses and are divided into humanities, social sciences, and various other categories.
If you are looking for a class that contributes to a college program, check which institution supports the class (the information highlighted on each page of the course) and whether it is accepted by your class.
School After selecting a class, you will be asked if you would like to pay for the certificate or if you just want to use the free version. From the beginning of the course, you have 180 days to complete the work, although most courses suggest a much shorter time to complete the work.
From there, you can navigate the classroom, watch videos, and do homework while keeping in touch with other students from the same group around the world. After completing the course, once you have paid for the course, you will receive your certificate and can proceed to the next one.

The state of Coursera in [year]
Coursera now includes three different business units:
- Consumer.
- Training the company.
- Online financial statements
Let us look at each one individually.
Consumer
In 2024, Coursera may focus on business education and online titles, but the consumer sector seems to be stronger than ever and becomes a source of revenue for the company.
of the estimated $ 140 million It is quite possible that about $ 100 million will come from the consumer sector in [year].
Coursera has a total of 37 million students, of whom 7 million were added in [year]. This is the same number of new students who joined the platform in 2017. Although the number of students added each year is stable, more of these students seem to be paying. This is due to the changes in monetization that Coursera made in 2017 and earlier.
Sales estimates suggest that Coursera has gained hundreds of thousands of new paying customers in [year], raising the total number of people who have already paid Coursera to several million.
Coursera did not do much with the consumer product this year, did not conduct any further price experiments or change its payment wall.
Coursera maintains an active catalog of approximately 3,100 courses and 310 specializations, created by more than 160 academic partners and more than 20 industry partners. In 2024, 675 courses and 90 specializations were launched.

Earlier this year, Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania (including the Wharton School of Business) published their Coursera for Business catalogs. Here is a list of courses that are not part of Coursera for Business.
Coursera has updated its corporate product in 2024, primarily to extract more information from enterprise learning data and streamline integration with its internal training management systems. These changes are summarized in the Coursera blog.
Online Financial Statements
The most interesting developments from 2024 can be found in the online securities market. I mentioned the thrill of MOOC-based online titles as the second wave of MOOC exaggerations.
In 2024, Coursera announced eight new online titles from six new universities. One of these degrees is a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of London. Another is a diploma from an Ivy League school; The degree is Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Here is a list of the twelve online Coursera diplomas that have been advertised so far:
For a complete list of MOOC-based online diplomas, see our price tables.
Coursera’s first online title was IMBA from the University of Illinois, Geis College of Business at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), which was announced in May 2015. The $ 22,000 iMBA award was the closest to tens of thousands of dollars to date. To date, more than 1,000 and more students have signed up for the program and the first cohorts of students have graduated.

Earlier this year, the company presented some statistics on its study programs at the Coursera Partnership Conference: In January, there were a total of 1,632 students and $ 9.6 million in tuition fees. Training until today.
Interestingly enough, 50% of diploma candidates had already used the Coursera platform, which shows that Coursera’s free MOOCs can serve as a marketing channel for their online titles.
Coursera Offers A Highly Interactive Learning Style
Daphne Koller has conducted extensive research into pedagogical approaches and the question of how artificial intelligence can stimulate student attachment to Coursera.
All Coursera courses are based on measures to enhance learning. For example, video conferencing repeatedly interrupts students to ask what they have learned so far during the course. The students receive immediate feedback on the task. It keeps students engaged, attentive and motivated.
The official website of Coursera is very simple and user-friendly. Thanks to the intuitive and user-friendly interface, the website can be easily navigated even for newcomers. Students quickly take notes on essays, tests, and comments from teachers, which is important given the high number of enrollments for each course.
Coursera Partnerships
Coursera partners with different organizations. They ask some of these organizations to partner with them. The conditions and contracts might be different from one organization to another, but I think they are all good. If you want, you can fill out a form on the website that asks questions about your school or company and see if Coursera will partner up with you.
Some of the perks are:
Growth: You can improve your career and reputation by doing projects in person.
Resources: You can become an instructor. Your instructors will get all the help they need to do good work.
Income: You make money based on how many projects you do.
Impact: You can help people learn valuable skills for their careers by sharing your expertise with them in person.
Pricing Plans of Coursera
Recently, Coursera has updated its course calendar and now places more value on courses on demand. On the previous platform, users could access courses and generally had unpredictable schedules. Therefore, this new orientation change of the website seems to be useful for the students. Courses can now be attended every two weeks as well as every month.
Follow a specific pricing model for specializations. Students have to pay monthly fees if the current prices are only between $ 39 and $ 89. Those who wish to specialize must pay $ 373 and attend the five main courses with a specialization certificate.
If you want to buy a certain course, you have to pay $ 79. A certificate is also offered when the student has completed the course. If you want to have access to all the material of the course on this website, you can also get it. In this case, you can not receive certification.
It’s best to know that the monthly fee is available for a $ 40.00 payment and offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. These courses provide hands-on learning materials, discussion forums, and various graduate work to improve students’ learning skills.

The Advantages (Pros) of Coursera
1) Speed
One of the best things about taking classes on Coursera is that it won’t take you long to finish them. The experience may not be exactly the same as if you were in classes at a university, but you can move more quickly and get your degree faster than if you took traditional classes. You can also take longer to finish your degree or go at a slower pace. Plus, it’s cheaper than regular school too!
2) Huge Course Selection
There are many courses you can take on Coursera. You will find classes in a lot of different areas, but there are some areas that are more popular than others (like business and technology). You can also take some classes for free.
3) Expert-Level Instruction
My favorite thing about Coursera is that the teachers are experts and know what they are talking about. This is not usually the case with other MOOCs. You might not learn as much information as you would like to because of this. That’s not a problem with Coursera, though, because all of the courses have expert teachers so you will learn everything that you need to know well.
4) Short Assignments and Lectures
Some of the courses on Coursera are short. The videos for the lectures and assignments are short, so you will be able to go through them quickly. Almost all video lectures are less than half an hour, so you can watch them in one sitting and then get on with your day.
5) Interactive Platform
I have taken classes on other courses before, and one thing I don’t like about them is that they are passive. You take the class on your own time and you can do it how you want. But sometimes this can be bad because then it’s easy to stop paying attention during the class when there’s no one watching. This is not a problem with Coursera though! They will be hard to do but also fun, because you can talk to people in the course and ask questions anytime you want. The discussion boards are not as good as they could be though.
6) Coursera Certificates
Coursera is an online school that can help you get a better job. You could earn a certificate that proves you have learned something. A College might give you credit for the course if it’s part of a master’s degree or if it matches with what they teach. Coursera has many courses and more universities are joining, so there are more choices to find the best one for your needs.
The Disadvantages (Cons) of Coursera
1) Long application Process
To enroll for a Coursera course, you need to apply first. There is a waiting time before you can start the course. It is not as long as going to an university but it is still longer than enrolling in a normal course.
2) Not so great discussion boards
Most MOOCs offer discussion boards where learners can interact with each other and teachers. However, people have said that the discussion boards in Coursera courses are not very good. People say they have a better experience when they take a class that is longer (like a semester) or if it is shorter but has regular meetings with instructors.
You may not get feedback. You can upgrade and pay for graded assignment features, but sometimes you won’t be able to get them (at least not in-depth). The system is not really comprehensive, and you might not always receive the input you want about your assignments.
3) Larger Variety of Course Options Only in Specific Niches
Most of the Coursera classes seem to be about technology, business, and personal development. They do not have many options for learning about humanities.
4) Steep Coursera Plus Membership Fee
Coursera Plus lets you take classes in different topics, but the price is expensive. Other people might not want to pay more than $400 per month. If you are paying, then you will be encouraged to take all of your courses so that it is worth the money.
The Learner’s Perspective
A learner has a different perspective than a teacher. You can complete the course in five weeks or seven weeks. When you are taking notes, you can watch videos and see them later if you want to study more. If you do not have time, they will be there for you to review at any time.
The Instructor’s Perspective
Teaching a class on Coursera is different than other MOOCs. Coursera sets the bar very high. It only accepts top teachers with many years of experience and a degree in teaching or attending seminars.

I had the opportunity to test the Coursera for three months, and I haven’t regretted it. Although it is free, once you start this course, you will want to finish it. One of my friends paid for a certificate in Spanish, when she finished the program in six months. I decided not to do that because fluency with these beauties was more valuable than gold. This course has many benefits – they teach me faster! Never thought there are so many ways how people living with disabilities can accomplish their goals! Excellent communication skills courses are great too. These classes opened my eyes to new perspectives on worldwide communication issues in our era.”
Coursera has partnered with 200+ top Universities like (Imperial College and Stanford) providing online accredited degrees when you complete a course!
Also the tuition cost that is the cours fees are significantly lower to that of a conventional school or traditional campus-based course.

I paid for two separate courses with a year in between them.
The certificates vanished from my account and I was told I cannot receive them at all.
So I paid for two certificates that I have now not received. Their customer service department is pitiful and is not helpful in the slightest, refusing to refund me for certificates I do not have. Absolutely unacceptable.
It is difficult to find quality education in the United States, with high priced tuition and inflexible schedules. No me pillán mas.

Coursera is a huge online education platform where you can take classes for free from top universities like Stanford, Yale, and MIT. The course is free and you can audit the course with no obligation to purchase a class, but if you decide to purchase the class you get a certificate of completion.
Even after already being employed as a graphic designer, I took a Coursera because I wanted to refresh my knowledge of Photoshop. It was so easy and convenient because it fits into my schedule-life. Since I only needed to take one class at once, I could study it hard and focus on that subject for an average of 3 days or more (and you can pause the course). After completing this series, not only did I feel like one of those “self-made successes,” but also got to explore some other interests too.
Coursera is an online education platform that offers courses from the world’s best universities and professors. It’s a great way to earn college credit, learn the skills you need to secure a new job, or explore topics that pique your interest.
I can’t miss a word from my favourite professor with this Coursera app. I search for the course, enrol in it and start watching lectures, downloading material and doing assignments at my own pace. Don’t waste your time at brick and mortar classes anymore. Coursera offers the most up-to-date courses on virtually any topic imaginable, which makes it an unparalleled resource for students who are looking to improve their career or lifestyle through higher education.
I love learning. I mean, who doesn’t? That’s why I’m enrolled in four courses on Coursera right now! And the best part is that it fits my lifestyle like a glove. I can study for 5 minutes between meetings or spend an entire morning before work. Either way, this site works for me and make me feel super accomplished too!
I am new to Coursera and I am so glad that I found this site. Coursera offers courses on just about any topic you can imagine and has top-rated courses in Arts and Humanities, Computer Science, Life Sciences and more. The flexibility of the platform is one of its strongest points since it allows you to learn at your own pace without having to give up all of your time outside the home or office. It’s a great way for busy people like me to engage with something we love even if there aren’t any classes close by.
These courses are taught by some of the most prestigious instructors in their field, like artists and musicians like Noam Chomsky (linguist) or David Shore (TV Show Producer). The course I’m taking – Science for biologists – is a welcome break from my 9-5. There’s no pressure to attend live lectures, there’s no stress about grades. These Coursera classes have been so efficient that I’ve continued with other MOOCs even after finishing this one!
“I like to watch lectures about philosophy in my spare time. I’ve given up audiobooks for this. Coursera is amazing! With their mobile apps, you can watch your lectures when you’re parked at the grocery store or sitting on the toilet (pretending). And don’t forget all of those quizzes and assignments to make sure that you’re learning. This site has everything!”
Coursera is my go-to for everything I need to know. From certificates of completion to new marketing strategies and techniques, Coursera provides a whole lot more than just education. When it comes to internships and job hunting, they cannot be beaten; courses like “Leadership Through Social Media” and “Employment Law” really helped me nail the essentials that landed me my first full-time job as a marketing manager with an online retailer! Especially if you’re looking for the latest in digital strategy and privacy compliance training (or where those pesky robocalls come from) then look no further than Coursera’s masterfully woven curriculum.
Coursera is perfect for me!
Coursera provides educational and skills advancement resources for individuals who don’t have access to traditional college programming or who want to improve their expertise in a specific field. Though the classes can be pricey and the enrollment dates are inflexible, the platform is valuable for many students and employees.
You should really try it out!
Coursera courses are innovative, practical, and often easy. The courses can take you anywhere in the world, explore any topic that interests you, or simply erase your fear of online learning. Whatever your goals are or wherever you want to go – this company offers an interesting way to reach them by completing advanced degree programs for free.
It is also always worth mentioning its incredible social features! Thanks to Coursera Reviews organized communities, all users have a chance not only to get support from other students but also to share their achievements with others which are really motivating!
I am always on the lookout for new courses to broaden my horizons and I know it’s hard finding time to dedicate to hours of lectures, group projects and reading. It has been a tough grind this past year but I was able to cram in the ever so popular Coursera and found myself excelling at work as well as seeing more enjoyment through life due to understanding topics like human anatomy better. Formal education is great if you live nearby but not everyone has that privilege. Course information is just a click away with incredible sound quality that ensures that lulled attention spans never falter!
I simply love what Coursera provides with!!
Coursera is an online elearning platform offering thousands of courses including specializations and degrees. It works with top Universities and businesses to facilitate its online accredited courses. Its purchased courses are either on a monthly or annual subscription or a one-off payment. It also offers free access to most of its courses if you choose to audit the course.
Coursera is a great platform for those who want to learn more about anything they like. It offers 2,700-degree programs and over 250 different specializations as well as 4 accredited degrees that can be accessed after each course. The courses are usually free to view but the assessments count as money and may require payment in order to gain access. There’s also an opportunity to take these classes with partners who, of course, would have their own pricing plans too. More than 25 million students have already enrolled in Coursera just since its launch back in 2012 so it’s time you do too today!
Coursera has changed the way millions of people learn. I love that you can just say “courses” and they know exactly what you’re talking about. This site is great whether you want to make new friends, up to your resume, or start a business as an entrepreneur (they teach all three courses!) I’ve studied through colleges before and they couldn’t beat the variety Coursera offers─ one course is like reading a novel while another feels more like picking one’s brain! There is no risk with these courses; if after six weeks it’s not for you, next!
Coursera is an online platform that offers an incredible variety of courses to suit your needs. Some are free, while others require payment for you to access the assessments and receive a graduation certificate. Courses range from specializations in business administration, economics, data analytics, computer science, mathematics, healthcare management to many more courses for this paragraph – just take advantage of their incredible range! If you’re looking for something specific or want to extend your organization’s horizons with new recruits then Coursera will offer what you need.
Coursera is very well organized. They are partnered with the most important educational institutions around the world.
They are very “up to date” in topics of interest and new courses. Also Coursera has the widest catalog of courses, all of them with a certification given by them in name of a professional institution, like universities.
The course I signed up for is actually really good, but I want to do it in my own time, and Coursera set arbitrary deadlines that you can’t extend, which is really annoying. I want to contact them about this but there is absolutely no way to contact a real person at the company. If I could just speak to someone and sort out the deadlines situation it’d be great, but its terrible customer service means I won’t use it again.
One of the biggest advantages of taking a class on Coursera is that it won’t take you long to do so.
Although the student experience isn’t quite the same as it would be if you were taking classes on campus, you can move much more quickly and graduate with a full degree faster online!
My personal favorite feature of Coursera is that you will be learning from instructors who really know their stuff.
I’ll highly recommend it!
I’ve been a member of Coursera for four years. I love this website, but it’s more difficult to find what I need because of the out-of-date database. The Coursera Course Website is close to being perfect, and I recommend this course with all my heart!
I’m Jennifer, an engineering student from Pennsylvania, I was looking for a way to learn new skills that would allow me to start fresh in this competitive market. Coursera is the best chance I had because all courses are FREE! Yes, you can find other platforms with easy access and interactivity but Coursera provides amazing content at no cost. As someone who didn’t have much time on my hands, I found it very difficult to finish one course at a time. Fortunately, you’re able to work your way around by differentiating between “Assessments” and “Certificates.” This is great if they need help understanding what is most relevant for their goals.
Was very disappointing, so many other cheaper alternatives. The course material and structure was poor. Tried getting a refund but just have to accept that the money was wasted. Poor refund policy. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your money there.
Coursera is a free website that you can go to and transcribe your lectures offline. It’s not hard to do and the benefits are undeniable! There’s nothing more I dislike than feeling like I didn’t learn anything from class- especially if there was tuition money associated with it. Listening to my professor lecture for three hours but getting zero notes on the content is frustrating because what am I going to do when I need a recap? It seems a bit unfair, paying good money for something then choosing not even writing down the outline of what we learned today or this week. A lot of people might depend on their memory as they go about life but it isn’t always perfect, right? With Coursera, you type up all of your notes and can always be handy.
It is perfect for those who want to enrol in courses, learn about new topics and read the reviews of students already enrolled. Coursera course website is designed to be user-friendly to all customers. It allows customers for taking simple notes on essays, tests, and comments made by teachers which are very handy for future tasks. With Coursera it’s very easy not just because you have an opportunity to review every topic that has been discussed so far, but because I can save what I need for future use as PDF files too!
This company is an utter scam! We are a business client and we originally had plans for 1000 licenses. Due to Covid, our plans changed and we have sent numerous emails to get these licences frozen. But Coursera keeps loading us and will not speak to us about the problem. We are in the process of taking this legal as we believe we have been Mis-sold and lied to. Stay away from this company at all costs. We will be leaving reviews in all places possibly to ensure that people are aware of how crooked these guys are!
It furnishes with free learning assets For Universities College understudies
It additionally extends to involved undertakings and courses to employment opportunity prepared endorsements, vocation certifications.
Another accommodating thing is that in excess of 200 driving colleges and organizations to bring adaptable, reasonable, work significant web based figuring out how to people
The courses I took were awesome, however, one feature of the site is really bad and it keeps me from taking another course because I don’t want this pressure anymore:
The assignments – they are peer-reviewed, so you completely depend on other people to finish a course. This is especially frustrating when you wanna move on to the next course, but it is blocked by the previous one, so all you can do is just wait, while there is the constant pressure in the back of your mind that if you slip into the next billing cycle, you have to pay again just so you can have your certificate. The only way to help the situation is to go to the forums of the course and literally beg for others to review your submission, which worked me like half the time, and this was on a really popular course.
The courses are designed for beginners, so don’t worry if you have never taken a course before. It is all done online and they can be accessed anytime by any device with internet access. You even get feedback from teachers who are experts in their field of work! The one thing that I love about this website is the forum section where it allows me to interact with other people around the world doing the same class as myself or different because Coursera provides its services internationally to everyone interested in learning. They also allow us to share our ideas which enables us to improve our projects on what we do best which were not possible without them.
Coursera is an online website that provides free courses in many subjects such as mathematics, economics and computer science. What differentiates Coursera from other websites for higher education is that it has a broader variety of college and university partners which not only lowers the bar to enter but also opens up opportunities for new academic collaborations.
The most important thing about Coursera is that its learning materials are completely free. This means everyone can experience what it would be like to learn coding with Khan Academy, take a course on Psychology at Stanford University or become fluent in English with Duolingo. You do have access to certificate programs when you sign up but these don’t cost an arm and a leg so they’re no deterrent either!
There are a few things which I couldn’t have cared less about Coursera like
The substance of the course is essentially restricted to scholarly subjects and expert abilities.
It doesn’t have the best conversation board and the enrollment expense is excessively high.
The courses in Coursera are from extraordinary organizations and colleges. The educators are normally truly adept at causing you to comprehend the idea, and the materials in many courses are for the most part down to earth and fundamental. With labs, projects, and quided projects, you get an active trial which is exceptionally useful in dominating the abilities and furthermore helps you in your CV.
I cannot say enough good things about Coursera. I have been using different reasons to take it for the past few years, and getting a degree in creative writing has made me grateful for having unlimited access to so many high-quality courses. It sounds trite but it’s true: you’ll never know what you’re missing out on until you start taking them!
I finished a computer science course and received my certificate in less than 40 days. I was able to do the whole course by the platform on Coursera for free. Participants are able to watch lectures at their own pace, allowing for maximum learning potential despite time constraints that exist outside of school. It’s helped me tremendously with getting into college too because universities have taken note of how accessible this material is! This would be great especially if you want to learn something new or if you believe in lifelong learning – an attitude so many people lack these days!
I wish I could give zero stars to this just only cause of the awful customer service. I had a subscription for a very reasonable price which I couldn’t keep to use cause I failed to have the funds ready at the right time; even tho I contacted them 4 times about the matter and they assured me that the system would charge me before the date my account would expire it didn’t happen; they suggested to resubscribe at almost double the price. Contacted customer service for email and been dealing with 4 different people that couldn’t be bothered to read any of my emails where explained 4 times what was the matter. The courses may be good but man they have no clue of what customer service is!
Doesn’t work and NO REFUNDS
We have purchased ‘Create Your First Game with Python’ by Amit Yadav and it was malfunctioning right from the start with the ‘next’ button becoming disabled on and off for example and so on, the interface was not responding well, and it was Coursera only issue, all else was fine…there was really no support whatsoever, no way to get in touch with the tutor for example, and general forum will only take you so far with specific problems. Coursera does not issue refunds so I really don’t recommend it.
I actually liked some courses but Coursera is a subscription trap at its finest.
There are hidden fees and also very unclear communication on what is billed and how the subscription is managed in regards to courses and specialisations, etc.
I will not take another class there as I got billed for courses that were not very clear to me.
You know that feeling of dread when you see the price tag at the end of a course? I was watching this video about how Coursera courses are free and immediately felt better. More importantly, it only takes one minute to learn more. Join over 20 million students who have already enrolled in these affordable courses!
We all know that when life gets tough, your resume can’t be an excuse to take it easy. Especially when there are over one hundred courses from the world’s top universities right at your fingertips for free! Coursera offers a wide range of subjects in 12 languages and provides thousands of online lessons.
Everywhere I go, people tell me that if they could do anything in their second or third career, they would have become a programmer – well now you don’t have to settle down with one IT provider because in a few clicks on Coursera’s website you’re able to learn everything from Python Programming Essentials by University of California Berkeley to Numerical Methods for Engineering Applications by University of Sydney!
Coursera is a great place to learn new skills and grow your knowledge base. You can learn about anything from quantum physics to public speaking, and it all starts with a free course.
It offers high-quality courses from many of the world’s best universities and educational institutions.
I find Coursera really convenient. the courses are free unless you want to get a certificate, which isn’t too expensive. The course schedules are flexible so I can take them even while working full time. The material is easy–I was able to learn things (especially math and science subjects) that I never would’ve managed on my own! A major plus: I feel like I belong at college with all the other people taking these courses with me.
I would give Coursera 5 stars. I feel so lucky to have found this awesome company to fill in my gaps! With all the variety of courses offered, I know that someone will be finding it convenient for them. Also, with no professors or annoying semesters, there’s always flexibility. The forums also help learners supplement their learning experience by interacting with people who are passionate about the same topic they love too!
Coursera is the perfect way to study, share your thoughts about topics of your interest, and move up in life more than ever before! Coursera is an education company that offers over 2,700 courses. You can engage with more than 25 million students across the world for free or pay less so you can access assessed work and receive a graduation certificate. Alongside their organizational partners like companies who want to build better teams through learning, Coursera offers diverse ways of empowerment where you compete with yourself on new levels every day!
I paid for the subscription to access labs and do the homework. I cancelled the subscription after completing the course, but the lab access was gone as well. Basically, the only way to download the lab notebooks is to pay another $49 for a course you already completed. The customer service chat was not helpful at all and was basically a robot.
The content of the course is good, but Coursera as a platform is a ripoff, and they try really hard to not provide customer service.
