When it comes to expanding your reach, connecting with your audience, and selling without pushing, the LIVE Challenge Method is the best method out there. Using the power of video marketing coupled with an irresistible free offer allows your audience to feel accomplished at the end of the challenge days, and the paid package you offer at the end of the challenge will be well-received.

The LIVE Challenge Method works on the basis of a schedule. First, you’ll want to come up with your free offer. This offer should be 1) simple and straightforward but 2) meaty enough that you can teach about it for around 20 minutes across five days.

Then, you’ll want to create a landing page where people who are interested can sign up. From there, you’ll want to create a private Facebook group where the Facebook Lives will be happening. Once the audience is generated and interested, you’ll want to state clearly the schedule that your Facebook Live videos will be following. At the same time every day for five days, you’ll go live and teach your audience about your free offer.

The most important part of making the LIVE Challenge Method work is following that schedule. That way, your audience always knows where and when to find you. Throughout these five days, you’ll be teaching them all of your tips and tricks around your topic. It’s important to give them valuable information, as well as teaching them in a way that fulfills them.

Do not try to sell to your audience from the get-go. Instead, allow your teachings to build a foundation of trust. From there, once it comes time to invite them toward your paid offer, whether that’s a coaching package, a mastermind group, or something else, they’ll happily sign up.

By giving them a week’s worth of critical knowledge, you’re selling your package without having to say it outright. It’s all about the content! By ensuring your audience that you’re trustworthy and that what you can teach them is beneficial towards their overall success, you’re selling without saying a word.

The LIVE Challenge Method puts trust in the process of video marketing, as well as giving people an automatic in when it comes to the struggles they’re facing. Giving away some of your best content for free might seem risky, but by taking it to the next level and continuing the teachings of these free lessons with a paid program, you’re giving them more value in the long run. Make your schedule, make sure that you’re providing people with valuable information, and lead them towards a paid program with the content you’re curating. The rest will fall into place.

1. PPC Bidding Automation. Structure your campaigns so that each is delivering at least 30 conversions per 30-day period. Then use Cost-per-action (CPA) or Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) automated bidding. The automated bidding algorithms can do a much better job of setting bid prices than any human can.

2. Phase Match is Not Dead. Recent changes to exact match algorithms have eliminated the advantages of using this match type. It’s now likely that phrase match is more “exact” than exact match! Smart PPC managers are now relying mainly on modified broad match, phrase match, and exact match.

3. Responsive Search Ads. Go ahead and test RSAs, but be careful: recent studies have concluded that shorter ads perform better in terms of conversion volumes and conversion rates.

Although not strictly a Digital Marketing Strategy, I can see in 2019 people taking a more critical look at their site. This year Google has really been pushing the improved ranking using services such as site speed. It has developed a series of tools (such as Lighthouse) that really help you to analyze your site speed and to make improvements, including on mobile.

You should use this year in particular to reduce the page sizes, and HTTP requests, as those two factors, in particular, have the biggest universal improvement to rankings of your site. If you’re not taking a critical look at your site, you really should, as it does seem to be a massive trend I’ve seen in the first three months of 2019.

By doing even some of the basics (such as upgrade PHP to PHP7), you are going to see decent ranking gains. It isn’t a quick process, but spending a small portion of a monthly retainer on improving site speed could have drastic results.

My favorite digital marketing strategies for 2019 include using machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify audience interests and personalize interactions. These technologies will help better manage the data we receive as part of our marketing campaigns to make vast improvements in what we develop when we deliver it to the audience, and how we interact with them around the clock.

This capability will allow for contextual targeting as well as help us understand new segments of our potential audience quickly, such as Gen Z who is becoming a larger part of the audience. Also, live video marketing is a growing area we plan to pursue in 2019 because it involves video content and creates an immediate connection with our audience. This builds on our continued focus on content marketing, which will also prove to still be a powerful force in 2019.

The market is more flooded than ever with content, making it vital to separate quality from clickbait. This is good for companies and marketers that can deliver the goods, but those who can’t keep up the environment is going to keep getting tougher. This is great because a lot of marketers have got away with low-quality work for too long and the renewed challenge as a profession is a welcome thing to strong players.

SMALL IS THE NEW BIG. Spend time on one or two of your most-engaged social media platforms (instead of ALL THE PLACES). Run less, more-focused, paid campaigns (instead of wasting money on EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE). Make it a goal to have more one-on-one conversations with your customers, would-be customers, and communities (instead of selling to ALL THE PEOPLE).

Slow down, do the homework, put in the work, and stop getting mired in “shiny object syndrome.”

Create content your audiences wants, rather than what you want them to engage with. Far too many believe they know what their audience wants, rather than digging into the data and really finding what they actually engage with. Sure, it takes more work but it’ll also bring about far better engagement and greater success.

Once you’ve determined what your audience wants to see, you can provide more of what they’re looking for. Further testing and optimization will bring about not only optimal engagement and results but also create a better connection with your audience, driving further success.

One of my favorite marketing tactics for 2019 is newsletter marketing. Email marketing provides the most direct route to reaching members of your target audience as organic reach approaches 0% on the most popular social networking platforms. Success with newsletter marketing involves first finding and subscribing to newsletters within the niche you operate, taking the time to learn about the types of content that they usually share.

Ideally, if you want a particular newsletter to consider featuring you/your content, you’ll work to build a relationship with the company and people behind the newsletter, promoting it to your own network before asking for anything from them. By the time you’re ready to reach out to them for a feature, you’ll have created a solid basis for them to grant this request.

When you pitch a newsletter for inclusion, make sure that you make it relevant in terms of the newsletter’s subscribers. Besides free newsletter features, consider paid sponsored features on relevant newsletters that reach your target audience.

As a design blogger, what has been working for me personally in terms of digital marketing in 2019 is content marketing with a heavy focus on SEO, as well as more emphasis on Instagram Stories and YouTube.

Let’s explain these further: Content Marketing backed by SEO Knowing what your audience is actually looking for is crucial for content marketing and high search rankings. For example, the content I put out to my audience of designers is based on topics they are regularly searching… eg: “Best laptops for designers”.

I can then provide an article that is tailored to what they are searching, chuck in some affiliate links and everyone wins. To find out what they are searching, put yourself in their shoes. What tools do they need? What advice are they looking for? What is popular on other sites?

Answer their questions and will have content that is sure to rank. Instagram (Stories), IGTV & YouTube 2019 is the year of video. If you’re not there yet, you need to be! Create a YouTube channel, and put out valuable content and consistently. Engage your audience with Instagram with stories and IGTV and document what you’re creating!

My Best strategy would be keeping my content 100% focused on success to succeed more quickly. Bloggers obsess over pain points and struggle then wonder why struggling, pained readers follow them. Why? Where your attention and energy goes, grows. I teach people how to become successful marketers by keeping my blog posts, live videos and guest posts positive.

Do marketers need to be reminded of their failures? No. Digital marketers need successful tips delivered in positive, uplifting energy, from a fun-loving, cheery person. I am that person. As for actual strategies, live video, blogging and guest posting continue to win in 2019 because people love videos and text content on their mobile devices. Especially video; people glue themselves to phones, to enjoy videos.

I see primarily three overall marketing strategies available for small businesses:

1. Paid Advertising – PPC – Ideal if you have money but don’t have a lot of sales resources and you have a product or service that is specific and niched enough. This is a great investment in time and money as it serves as a 24/7 sales rep.

2. Direct Marketing — In the digital marketing world, this primarily falls into email marketing. This is a great strategy if you have the time and technology to invest it mapping out a profitable marketing funnel. In 2018, email was getting a $44 return for every dollar spent. That’s insane, but can only happen if you have a solid sales and marketing process laid out. This means “sharpening your marketing saw” – and taking the time to profile your ideal customer, develop a lead magnet and then a sophisticated email nurturing sequence. Without that work, you’re not going to see those results.

3. Content marketing – If you have expertise in a specific industry and are comfortable with creating written, video or infographic content, this is a great strategy for you. When you consider that Google is our first stop to answering a question, you realize how effective content can be in driving traffic to your site. yes, you’ll need to get smart on SEO and creating content is time-consuming.

But if you’re an expert in the field and have the time to create that content, you can outsource the production, publication and promotion of the content fairly easily or you can use technology to get the job done. The key to success is not to get overwhelmed and stuck in the weeds of dozens of marketing strategies — there are really only 3 and then tactics to implement those three. Look at whether you have more time than money or more money than time – and choose accordingly.

Content is King Fresh Content is the King of Kings No matter what fancy algorithm is introduced into modern digital marketing.

Whether by a social media platform or search engine, there is always an element of factors that helped rank highly in the past, in the new algorithm. So old time SEO experts will recognize my favorite digital marketing strategy tip for 2019, from years ago. It is basically the words “Content is king”.

The new spin I will add to that old content is king mantra is to slightly reword is as “Fresh content is the king of kings”. The reason why I am making “Fresh content is king” as my tip to other digital marketing experts out there is because on at least half a dozen occasions this year I have seen high quality, “Fresh contents” rank very highly in SERPs, attracting thousands of hits, until an even fresher content knocks it off the number one spot.

So, if you want to succeed with your digital marketing in 2019, you need to ensure you create very high-quality content, that is widely shared. You can be sure you will rank well for the keywords involved, until fresher content, of an equally high or higher quality, start competing with yours.

Beg Borrow or Steal for a Google My Business Listing if your business is a traditional business. By this, I mean business with a shop or an office with an address, you have probably been contacted by Google My Business, urging you to have your business listed on Google Maps for free.

If you are a small business, based at home or in either somewhere, you are unlikely to have got a call from Google. For the first business category I mentioned, if all you have in Google My Business is basic business information, you are only using a fraction of the potentials of Google My Business.

Once your address is verified by Google, you can use it as a social media; posting information about your business or products on it daily. The products get quite a bit of additional traffic from this because your page is listed quite highly when people search for products like your locally, or near the address Google has for your business. If you run a home-based business or a business with no physical address. You are losing a lot of potential traffic from Google My Business.

It does not matter how you acquire an address. You should beg, borrow or steal and address if you have to, just to get the traffic you are losing from not bein on Google My Business. Mind you, you cannot use an address you don’t have access to. Google will send a card through the postal system with a code you need to unlock your business’s Google My Business listing.

SEO and Link Building!!
I will continue focusing on SEO in 2019. That’s the service I’m offering to my clients. It’s a well-known fact that SEO can provide an improved ROI compared to PPC and other marketing channels. It’s not easy and cheap though. The most expensive part of SEO is Link Building. And I’m not talking about buying links but about hiring a team of specialists to research and outreach for Link Building.
In 2019, I’ll continue building relationships with fellow marketers and help them with whatever I can. Building those relationships bring many links, and new connections as well. Yep, connections tend to multiply. Keyword Research Something else that I’m doing in 2019 is trying to do Keyword research better. Picking up the right keywords and finding high volume and low competition keywords are very important. And it can save you a lot of time and money building backlinks! I recommend using Ahrefs to find what your competitors rank for.

Digital marketing strategies rarely change. If you are creative with your strategies, they can work wonders and help you get a lot of sales (and new subscribers, too)! However, if you implement Teamwork (one of Napoleon Hill’s 17 Success Principles), you will have more success with your digital marketing strategies.

One of the trends that began a few years ago (that we saw a lot of in 2017 and 2018) is expert roundup posts. These involve Teamwork, to an extent, because all bloggers who are featured generally will share the roundup with their fans and followers (even if it’s just to brag that they were featured). This helps drive traffic to the website where the roundup is published. In this respect, only that website owner really benefits. But when you truly form a team and work together, you can do so much more, and everyone involved will benefit. So, what can you do?

Doing things other people rarely do, such as holding a giveaway/contest, can be very helpful when you are trying to make sales because people love free things. They also love winning. A giveaway is ideal for this. What can you “give away” in your giveaway? You can offer as many things as you like!

I’ve seen bloggers create a “bundle,” where a bunch of bloggers team up and contribute to the bundle.” You could also do a solo giveaway where you just offer one thing to one lucky winner. However, involving more people (implementing the Principle of Teamwork) increases your chances of success with meeting your goals—driving traffic to your website, getting people to sign up to your email list, and making more sales.

Teamwork really helps giveaways succeed because all the bloggers on the “team” (all the contributors to the “bundle”) will each help promote the giveaway on their blogs, on their social media channels, and via their existing email lists. I have run giveaways before. I used Rafflecopter to help me. Rafflecopter is a free tool you can use to run yours. It will track all those who enter and will randomly choose a winner. People also love discounts, so offering your buyers a discount is another thing that is sure to be a hit! If you can work this into your giveaway, you will reap additional rewards. It’s so much easier to see results when you are a part of a team, where everyone works toward a common goal (or goals). By implementing Teamwork into your digital marketing strategies, you will definitely be more successful!

My marketing strategy will hardly change in 2019. I’ll continue focusing on brand and community building. My projects will keep helping both new and established users to reach a wider audience. There are few tactics which I’ll hopefully try this year:

1. Streamline my content marketing team work. I feel like the content process needs to better organized and more consistent. We need to take a more practical approach here: Producing content on a regular basis while diversifying types and formatting (covering news, creating whitepapers, etc.) I also feel like introducing some kind of writing checklists to make editors’ jobs easier. I am going to use this one: https://howtonow.com/writing-checklist-how-to-use-one-or-create-your-own-now/.

2. Play with chatbots. I’ve been watching the chatbot industry rapidly growing for a couple of years now but never found time to actually implement the tactic on any of my projects.

3. Build a knowledge base. Finally, I’ll start working on the industry wiki. I feel like we need one. Plus I’ll try to grab all featured snippet opportunities I can. I am going to use one of these plugins to get started: https://colorlib.com/wp/knowledge-base-wiki-faq-support-wordpress-themes/

Mike’s Best Digital Marketing Strategy

1.Content Marketing: The market is getting very saturated, and let’s face it, everyone is now advertising online through various different channels. So, it’s now really hard to build online awareness unless we have a strong content to “pull” the ideal audience towards our business. Content builds credibility and trust, and by showing that we are the expert of our niche, more people will purchase our product/service. This is the main idea of inbound marketing.

Of course, the content marketing game itself is now very saturated. However, when done right, the consistent publication of relevant, valuable and unique content pieces will always generate results, even if you’ll need to invest some time.

2. SEO:  Content needs promotion to succeed, as no matter how good your content is, it won’t bring value unless someone (and preferably a lot of people) actually consumed it. With that being said, SEO remains the best way to promote your content, especially with the inbound marketing principle.

SEO is often underutilized nowadays with the advent of newer marketing channels like social media marketing and influencer marketing, among others. However, with the rise of voice search on mobile devices, more and more people are now reliant to the search engines when looking for new—, especially local— businesses. When done right, SEO can guarantee a sustainable source of traffic (and conversion).

3. Remarketing: Remarketing—or retargeting— is in essence, displaying our advertising to those who have visited our website. Recently Google Adwords also offers new remarketing features to target those who have searched for certain keywords or visited other sites (including your competitors’).

So, remarketing is a good way to maximize your display advertising results, by making sure your ad is only shown to those who have shown interests—those with the highest chance of conversions. Online advertising can be really expensive if you are not careful, and remarketing as a way to maximize cost-efficiency is a great option for 2019.

There are so many effective digital marketing strategies that I use so it’s quite difficult to pick only a few. So, I will list those that I are big in 2019 and that I think will continue to be effective in the future.

  • AI

Whether it is the use of AI chatbots or programmatic advertising, AI will play a crucial role in the field of digital marketing. And the reason is simple. It is efficient, has numerous potential marketing applications, and can help you attain various marketing goals.

For example, AI chatbots can help with lead generation, customer service, shopping assistance, website navigation assistance, and much more. AI, when applied to advertising, can take targeting and personalization to the next level. It can help you target the right audience, at the right time, with the most relevant ads.

  • Video Marketing

Videos are much more engaging than any other form of content and will continue to dominate as the most-popular content format in 2019 as well. In fact, videos get as much as 1200% more shares than other types of content like text or images.

This makes them the most-important content format that marketers should focus on. Some of the most effective types of videos that you can incorporate into your marketing strategy are:

  • Tutorial/how-to videos

  • Behind-the-scenes videos

  • Customer testimonials

  • Brand or industry events videos

  • Webinars and podcasts

My Best Strategy in 2019 is ‘Putting Impact Words at the Front of Everything’.

The first key to digital is traffic and the key to traffic is headlines. You might have the greatest content strategy on earth, but if your headlines are bad, you will fail.

Some headlines are boring. Some are vague. So for starters, headlines should be interesting and specific. But most people know that. But here’s a tip that a lot of people forget…

Headlines need to have the most impactful words at the front. Mobile inboxes will truncate your headline after just 45 words. So it needs to get to the point fast. The specific benefits and impact statement should be in the first four or five words. You can see that difference here:

pasted image 0

Source: How to Write a Great Headline, Orbit Media

This is important for subject lines, but also video titles, social posts, title tags, headers and everything else we create. My favorite digital marketing tactics haven’t changed in the last few years (video, influencers, research, email, SEO) but I’m working harder than ever on my headlines and front-loading them with value.

Kelli’s Best Digital Marketing Strategy

I have one favorite marketing strategy for 2019 is the one that has always been my favorite, but I am committing myself to even more wholeheartedly this year–authenticity. Whether it’s blog posts, podcasts, videos, e-books or programs, creating them from a space of really being you offers countless benefits for your business.

When you’re being authentic, content creation becomes a breeze. You more easily tap into that creative part of yourself where endless ideas reside; expressing them feels effortless. It actually becomes enjoyable. No one else has your unique combination of perspectives, knowledge and personal experience, and drawing on this helps you create unique, compelling content on even the most well-trodden topics in your niche.

Creating it from any other space feels like a struggle, or at best, downright boring; and the end the result tends to be lackluster and generic. You can’t be everything to everyone no matter how hard you try, so why even bother? Some people will resonate with your approaches, your style, your personality, and your advice, and some people won’t. That’s life. You also can’t be anyone else so trying to copy someone else in your field will have limited effectiveness as well because you’re not them!

The key isn’t about reaching as large a number of people as possible, it’s about reaching the people who really see the value in what you do, and would happily spend money on your products and services, because they feel a real connection to you as a person, to what you do and say.

When you’re in that space of authenticity, you attract the perfect matches, and you start to see so many of the things you worry about now aren’t as important as you think as it relates to getting new business. When people feel that real connection with you, they’re not going to care about your social media following, how many people retweeted your last blog post or whether
you have a really fancy website.

If you provide a service, you’ll enjoy it a lot more because you’ll really like your clients and they’ll really like you; no need for convincing or the hard sell. If you sell products, you’ll deal with a lot fewer dissatisfied customers and returns. This can be uncomfortable for people because we fear criticism, but as your business grows and you get on more people’s radars, you’re probably going to see more come your way no matter what you’re doing. So if you can’t avoid criticism anyway, letting it hold you back from being more fully you don’t make much sense.

If you’re not being you, you probably won’t be happy with your business no matter how much money you make, how much recognition or praise you receive. And all you want at the core is to be happy and enjoy your work, so just let that ‘freak flag fly’ as they say!
